Angel Hair

UFO Angel Hair Angel HairA paranormal jelly-like cobweb style substance which is a bit radioactive is said to fall to the ground after a UFO sighting. This substance is called angel hair and it evaporates without any trace after a few hours once the sighting occurs. This hair appears to disintegrate or turn into cotton like tufts with a smelt hat’s offensive when someone holds it in their hand. Ufologists refer to the material as angle hair in America while Italians call it “siliceous cotton” and the French call it “the Madonna’s present” to describe this substance.

In 1954 this phenomenon was first discussed by UFO investigators. Two men named Gennaro Lucetti and Pietro Lastrucci were on a balcony in Venice on October 27th, 1954. They saw what they described as “shining spindles” fly across the sky. The objects left a white trail as they zipped along. Both objects traveled at high speed and then they headed towards Florence.

There were reports on an unexpected break in a soccer game played in one of the Florence stadiums on that afternoon.  Spectator, [players, and referees saw the objects fly over the city three times. Once the objects were gone a bunch of cobweb like material floated into the arena.

The substance was quick to disintegrate if held in the hand. Alfrede Jacopozzi, a student, was the only one who managed to pick up a few threads of it and sealed them in a hermetic test tube.  He gave the threads to Professor Giovanni Canneri, a director of the Chemical Analysis Institute under the University of Florence. The material was deemed to be fibrous and resistant to torsion and tension. If heat is added the substance grows dark and then it just evaporates. There is transparent sediment left which seems to melt away. The sediment contains boron, magnesium, and silicon and the substance may be some type of boron-silicon glass according to hypothesis.

American ufologist Charles Maney said the material was excess energy form a UFO. He says the threads return to their dimension or some other space-time continuum while fading away. One British ufologist says the material was some variety of ectoplasm emanated during a spiritualistic session.

B. V. Lyapunov, a Soviet-era researcher received a sample of this angel hair in 1967 from New Zealand. It was in a tightly sealed tube and it measured less than one-tenth of a cubic centimetre. The substance was examined by a team of scientists. The conclusion was that it was a fine-fibered material with some fibers less than 0.1 microns in diameter. The fibers are tangled in bundles or separate “threads” which measure 20 microns in diameter. The threads are whitish and somewhat transparent. Nothing known describes the fibers and it was determined that the fiber was unlikely to be formed by anything in nature. During the research the entire fiber was used up and no more samples were obtained.

According to reports spread by the British Society for UFO Studies in August 1998, mysterious cobwebs fell to the ground shortly after an UFO sighting in North Wales. Some people noticed cobweb like materials floating to the ground.

There are times when angel hair falls out from a clear blue sky. In 1998 some resident s of Montgomery in the United States reported the fall of a cobweb like substance. Eyewitnesses said the fibers seemed to resemble fluorescent asbestos fibers. On February 10, 1978, a large number of sticky fibers were falling from the sky in Samaru, New Zealand for two hours. The fibers were described as considerably finer than cobwebs but visible against a clear blue skyline.

Some fibers were described as looking like knots on tennis ball that were unwinding in the air slowly. Others just seemed to float in a cluster and resembled the heat wake of a jet plane. A spokesman for the Department of Science and Industry Research of New Zealand said he had never heard of anything like that.
